What we store in your browser, and why

TL;DR — We use only strictly-necessary cookies (and a little browser storage) to run the site. No analytics, no advertising, no cross-site tracking. Because they're essential, no consent is required — our notice is just to let you know.

1. Our Approach

TL;DR — Essential only. We don't track you.

We use only the minimum browser storage needed for the site to work. We do not use analytics, advertising, social, or other tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Strictly-necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements; the small notice we show simply informs you they exist.

2. What We Store

TL;DR — A staff login session cookie (admin only) and a "you've seen this notice" flag. That's it.

  • Staff session cookie (lbl_admin) — set only in the private staff admin area after login, to keep the session secure. It is never set for ordinary visitors.
  • Cookie-notice acknowledgement — a small flag kept in your browser's local storage so the notice does not reappear once dismissed. It contains no personal data and is never sent to us.

3. Third-Party: Square (Booking Page)

TL;DR — The card form on the booking page is Square's; it may set its own cookies, governed by Square.

When you reach the payment step on the booking page, the secure card form is provided by Square, Inc. and loaded in an embedded frame. Square may set its own cookies within that frame to operate and secure the payment widget; these are governed by Square's own cookie and privacy policies. The form is only loaded on the booking page.

4. Managing Cookies

TL;DR — You can clear or block cookies in your browser; essential ones are needed for the admin area to work.

You can view, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary, blocking them may stop parts of the site (such as the staff admin login) from working. Clearing your browser storage will simply make the cookie notice appear again.

5. Changes to This Policy

TL;DR — We may update this anytime; every version is dated and kept on the site.

We may amend this Cookie Policy at any time. The version and effective date at the top reflect the current policy, and prior versions are available on our Document History page.
